A portrait of an eerie, eclectic, and ever-changing neighborhood.

University District, Seattle | Fall 2019

University District, Seattle | Fall 2019 is an experimental photo-documentary capturing the fleeting essence of Seattle’s historic, eerie, and ephemeral University District. I challenged myself to use photography and editorial design to portray the neighborhood through my eyes, juxtaposed with a range of interview material to provide a more well-rounded perspective of the town.

The table of contents is designed to represent a map of the University District, with page numbers at the intersections of streets. This provides the reader a sense of “navigating” the area.
